Another protest against the Rosia Montana mining project took place in Bucharest on the 13th of October 2013. Over 10.000 people marched for three hours from the 1 Mai metro station where they met at 4 pm towards the University Square. More interesting and powerful messages were written on placards and banners: “You cannot steal as much as we can love”, “United we save Rosia Montana. United we save the human species”, “We have golden politicians. Let’s use cyanide on them”, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” and many others.
While in Victoria Square in front of the Government building, people had red and green papers which were held high in order to form the Rosia Montana leaf. It was an amazing sight. The red part ( cyanide ) was towards the Government while the green one ( nature ) was towards the Antipa Museum of Natural History.
